Physical Damage Coverage
Who needs physical damage insurance?
If you want to make sure your vehicle is well-protected or you took a loan for your vehicle, go with Physical Damage insurance. Physical damage insurance is likely a requirement if your vehicle is leased. Physical Damage protection is not required if you own a vehicle outright.
Here are the benefits of physical injury insurance:
- You’re protected in the event of a collision.
- Only a collision with another object or vehicle is excluded from the coverage provided by comprehensive insurance. For everything else, it provides protection.
- Insuring heavy trucks against fire and theft with CAC insurance is a limited type of Comprehensive coverage.
Insurers use a “physical damage” phrase to refer to a wide range of coverages that protect your vehicle, including Collision and complete Comprehensive insurance (crash, robbery, and other perils, as well as the more basic Fire and Theft coverage) or combined Additional Coverage (CAC).
In the event of an accident, your vehicle is covered by collision insurance, which covers the repair or replacement expenses.
- Rolls or overturns
- Collides with another object.
